Operating Principle When ultrasonic waves propagate through a liquid, the propagation time changes compared to a stationary state if there is a flow. When the ultrasonic signal is transmitted and received by upstream and downstream detectors/transducers through the moving liquid, a difference in the passage/propagation time between upstream and downstream occurs.
